updates

So, it's been almost a month since my last time.
I graduated on the 18th December and had a quiet party on the evening.

I left for NY on the 18th Dec but it didn't go as planned 'cause I went sick and spent all my money on medicines, health care and alternative accomodation.

I started my first job as an engineer yesterday, monday the 7th, but I am being paid $1000 a month to work 11 hrs a day, 5 days a week. It's an internship that lasts 6 months and can ben extended to 1 year (please no!).

I am very tired to write more, i wanted just let you know that i am fine and i hope you are too. I had a few problems with feeds and thunderbird no longer keeps me updated through the feeds, so i don't know what has been going on your blogs lately.

  1. Not the best time of your life...

Congrats on your graduation and show us pics from NY, we know you hadn't been all time in the bed.

As per your job: drop it if you don't like it, money @ 24 yrs old doesn't matter at all.

  4. Congratulations on your graduation!

Such a shame you were sick in NY. Hope you still got to enjoy your trip.

Overworked and underpaid is an unfortunate state for many people to be in - and not only in Italy!

  6. Congratulations on your graduation, Paola! :D

And it's true, assolutamente! There are lots of people everywhere who are overworked and underpaid. Including me. My employer currently has a policy of mandatory/voluntary overtime. Sounds contradictory, but what it means is... we must either volunteer to work overtime each week, or we will be made to work overtime. If we volunteer, then we have control over which days we work overtime. If we don't volunteer, then our employer decides when we will do that.

Personally, I'm now totally sick of overtime. There are those who think I'm nuts, but I value my free time more than the overtime I get paid.

Being sick is never good but know that sometimes sickness gives us strength. So look on the bright side as there is more FAB things to come your way.

    Ciao
